Since you're always outnumbered use surprise attack and cover to even the playing field.
Use as much as you can and as often as you can the heal ability to keep your squad alive.
If an enemy is standing idle, send someone in to incapacitate it.
When facing several enemies in a confined room, withdraw and use grenades.
