Journey to the Savage Planet Alien Proximity Doors | How to open them

The Journey to the Savage Alien Proximity Doors are quite mysterious. They are scattered throughout the game and look like you can go in, but they quickly shut once you get within a few steps of them. What gives? But like any door, it just needs the proper key so here’s how to open the Alien Proximity Doors in Journey to the Savage Planet.

Journey to the Savage Planet Blue Doors | How to open them

Those Journey to the Savage Planet blue doors are going to stay locked for quite some time since the thing you need to open them isn’t available until the last area of the game. You’re just going to have to wait until you get to the third section.

These doors require the shock fruits, which you can see in the above picture. These grow on blue trees in the third section of the game and can be a little rare to find. However, much like the other plants in the game, you will need the proper upgrade first to be able to wield the electric fruit. A mission will pop up, giving you the proper mission. Once you fend off those little zombie pufferbirds for long enough, you’ll be able to go back to your ship and craft the upgrade that lets you hold said fruit.

ALSO: How Journey to the Savage Planet was inspired by archaeology and Assassin’s Creed 3

Now once you’ve gotten the upgrade, you’ll need to use the shock fruit to shock the doors. However, it is not that easy. There’s a trick to it. Stand back from the door and make sure it is open (don’t go close enough for it to slam shut). Once you’re a little away from the door, shock the blue bulb at the top of the door. This will zap it into staying open. Quickly run inside and you’ll be good to go.
