Destiny 2: Season of Dawn’s first exotic quest is here, and, well… It’s a short one. Getting the Devil’s Ruin exotic sidearm might just be the simplest Destiny 2 exotic quest yet, but it does involve one pesky step that players will likely want to get done as quickly as possible. In this A Moment In Time exotic quest guide, we’ll cover all Destiny 2 Timelost Fragment locations needed to complete the Parts Long Lost mission, as well as how to get the Devil’s Ruin quest in the first place.
Destiny 2 A Moment In Time | How to get the Devil’s Ruin quest
In order to unlock the Devil’s Ruin exotic sidearm, you’ll first need to get the weapon’s quest. In order to start the quest — called A Moment In Time: A Lost Relic — all you need to do is load into a round of Season of Dawn’s Sundial activity. Once you complete the Sundial (basically, by killing enemies until the activity progresses), you’ll see the Devil’s Ruin quest as one of the rewards available to you when you approach the Sundial rewards kiosk (marked with an objective marker) at the activity’s conclusion. You can still pick up the weapon rewards you’d normally get for a Sundial run, so make sure to grab those, as well.

The A Moment In Time quest will tell you to talk to Saint-14, so head to the Tower hanger and speak with him. He will then give you the next step, A Moment In Time: A Tour Through History, which will require you to enter the Parts Long Lost mission. This mission can be accessed through a node in the bottom right of the EDZ destination map, pictured below.
Destiny 2 Timelost Fragment Locations | All Twilight Gap Redjacks
When you start up Parts Long Lost, you’ll be loaded into an enemy-free version of the Twilight Gap PvP map with an objective titled “Reframing the Gap.” You’ll need to search the map for 10 downed Redjack robot frames. Interacting with these frames will give you one of the 10 Timelost Fragments you’ll need to complete the Devil’s Ruin sidearm. We’ve broken down each Redjack location in the images below.
Once you’ve found all 10, you’ll receive the weapon. Yep, that’s it. Shaxx and Saint-14 will then stay on the comms channel to chat, concluding in a short song performed by Shaxx, but it’s nothing you’d regret skipping if you want to go try out your new exotic. Some players are already reporting the Devil’s Ruin is creating “laser tag 2.0” in the Crucible, recreating the bugged damage numbers of the Prometheus Lens’ launch, so get out there and play some laser tag.
