In Season of Dawn, the Champion-damaging mods are available in the first column of unlocks, whereas this column was taken up by Glimmer-boosting mods last season. Bungie said this change was made to allow players quicker access to mods needed for damaging enemies in the new Sundial activity and in Nightfalls. Another change from last season is that, in accordance with season 9’s Solar subclass changes, Lantern of Osiris mods focus on Solar- and Void-based mods rather than Arc and Void. The Season of Dawn weapon mods are also geared more towards long-range combat, available for weapons like Scout Rifles and bows rather than last season’s SMG and Hand Cannon mods.
