Is the Modern Warfare Battle Pass Worth it?
How Does the Modern Warfare Season 1 Battle Pass Work?
As stated above, there are two versions of the Season one Battle Pass in Modern Warfare. Everyone has access to the free Battle Pass, whereas you will need to buy the premium Battle Pass. The free Battle Pass will award you with more than 20 Tiers of rewards, including new weapons such as the Holger-26 and Ram-7. The premium Battle Pass, meanwhile, will award you with 100 Tiers to level up through, unlocking new content at every level.

You’ll level up through the Tiers by playing the game online as you normally would. You can upgrade to the premium Battle Pass at any time. Hopefully, you’ll unlock the premium rewards up until the Tier you have reached upon doing so. This is good news, of course, for those of you who cannot afford to buy the premium Battle Pass right away.
How Much Does the Modern Warfare Season 1 Battle Pass Cost?
The standard Modern Warfare Battle Pass will set you back 1,000 COD Points. While the price of COD Points isn’t currently known (as of writing) in Modern Warfare, based on prices from previous games, we can say that the premium Battle Pass should cost you around $10. For 2,300 COD Points, you can buy the premium Battle Pass Bundle with a 20-Tier skip. Buying this means you will begin at Battle Pass Tier 20, instantly unlocking the rewards of the first 20 Tiers. This, of course, will set you back a lot more of your hard-earned cash and is only recommended to those with more disposable income.
Is the Modern Warfare Season 1 Battle Pass Worth it?
Ultimately, whether or not the Battle Pass is worth it is up to you. For around $10 you will earn yourself the right to unlock 100 new items, which includes new weapons, weapon blueprints, character skins, emblems, double XP and new wristwatches which will display your current rank, the current time, and more. The new weapons, however, can be earned for free, so if it’s just the new weapons you’re after, you don’t need to buy the premium Battle Pass.
If you are particularly keen on your Modern Warfare, however, there are plenty of cool rewards to unlock. Most of them are cosmetic, with a smattering of weapon blueprints thrown in, but it does allow you to be a little more creative with your Modern Warfare experience. Interestingly, too, the premium Battle Pass will award you with 1,300 COD Points if you manage to reach Tier 100. This means that you will be able to unlock the Modern Warfare Season two Battle Pass for free, with a little leftover for yourself.
We’d recommend the Battle Pass for those of you who can’t get enough Modern Warfare and want more customizable characters. Playing through it will afford you with bragging rights among peers if you manage to complete it, and it will essentially give you the Season two Battle Pass for free thanks to its awarding of COD Points. Again, though, the new weapons are given away with the free Season one Battle Pass. If you’re after the Ram-7 and Holger-26, you don’t need to spend an extra penny.
