Red Dead Redemption 2 1.15 Update Patch Notes

Rockstar just released the new Red Dead Redemption 2 1.15 update across all platforms where the western action adventure game is available. The RDR2 1.15 update released today for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google’s new game streaming service Stadia.

If you’re expecting to see new content and thrilling adventures added into the game with this update, let us burst your bubble – this patch is solely about improvements and fixes aimed at providing a more stable experience. Most of the fixes are for the recently released PC version, and quite understandably so, as this launch was affected by a multitude of troubles.

Red Dead Redemption 2 1.15 Update Patch Notes

Red Dead Redemption 2 PC delivers an outstanding experience that was sadly plagued by endless bugs and issues. While some players were lucky enough to enjoy the game effortlessly since day one, most of you encountered some problems that ranged from minor to game-breaking. This patch will hopefully correct most of the situations where the game randomly crashed.

ALSO: Red Dead Redemption 2 review bombed by angry PC gamers

Looking at the full Red Dead Redemption 2 1.15 update patch notes, you’ll notice that even the most normal of actions could result in a crash. For instance, launching Story Mode or Red Dead Online could cause the game to crash during loading screens, or the odd situation where you were trying to quit the game and this action resulted in a crash. You still managed to get what you wanted, but not quite in the expected way.

But it doesn’t end there; using keyboard and mouse controls, which is something that nearly all PC players do, could cause the game to crash. Switching between input devices could also yield the same result, which makes us wonder if Red Dead Redemption 2 PC was properly playtested before release. At this point, it wouldn’t be entirely surprising if there was an issue where RDR2 crashed when it detected players breathing.
