If you’re a competitive Pokemon player, then odds are you’ve found your way to the Pokemon Sword and Shield Champion Cup. This is a series of eight fights that offer players the chance to face off against some of the more elite challengers that Sword and Shield has to offer. Competing in the Champions Cup can be quite confusing, so we’ve put together some details on the fight order and rematch information that should help you along the way.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Champion Cup | How many fights are there?
As you begin the Pokemon Sword and Shield Champion Cup, you’ll find yourself fighting through eight different challengers. The first two fights will be against Marine and Hop in the semifinals. Following these battles, you’ll face off against Bede, after some important story information is revealed. If you win that fight, you’ll make your way to the finals where you’ll have to fight Nessa, Bea, Allister, Raihan, and finally Leon to win the Champion Cup

Pokemon Sword and Shield Champion Cup Rematches
Once you’ve beat the game, you’ll be able to participate in Champion Cup rematches. You may have become the Galar champion by winning the initial Cup, but you’ll have to hold on tight to your crown. Once you’ve reached the post-game, you’ll be able to participate in the Champion Cup once again — but it won’t be quite the same.
This time around, you’ll be able to build different challenge sets from various Gym Leaders, as well as a group of 15 challengers. You may have won once already, but winning the Pokemon Sword and Shield Champion Cup again might not be so easy.
