Borderlands 3 bank space update release

Since Borderlands 3 has literally millions of weapons and then some, it’s reasonable to expect that any Vault Hunter needs some substantial storage space to keep their favorite guns. However, you’re stuck with a limit of 50 slots at max level, something that is causing an uproar among the community.

Gearbox has promised to make changes to the bank space, and the reveal of the Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC confirms its plans. You don’t have to wait until December 19, 2019 though (the planned release date for the first big piece of Borderlands 3 content) as the bank space update is coming on November 21 with the launch of the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite update.

If you thought that your bank space would merely double, you’re wrong: it is increasing from the original cap of 50 to an impressive 300 slots. Furthermore, every player will start with 20 slots instead of 10, and you can increase your bank size by purchasing SDUs from Marcus at Sanctuary III using in-game cash.

300 slots seems like a very reasonable storage space to keep all those shiny new guns that just keep on dropping. Seeing that 2020 will bring three additional DLC campaigns, there will be no shortage of gun loot, so you shouldn’t entirely rule out the possibility of a second bank space update dropping in the future.
