Have you ever wanted your training regime in Pokemon Sword and Shield to be a little more… hyper? Thankfully, you can do just that thanks to Pokemon Sword and Shield Hyper Training. In just several easy steps you can turn your Charizard into a Buffizard thanks to the ability to Hyper Train in the new Pokemon games. We’ll explain the answer to “what is Hyper Training in Pokemon Sword and Shield?” below, letting you know where you can take place in Hyper Training and what you’ll need to do so.
What is Pokemon Sword and Shield Hyper Training?
Hyper Training was first introduced to Pokemon games back with Pokemon Sun and Moon and it works much in the same way as it did back then in Sword and Shield. Essentially, Hyper Training is your go-to training method for maximizing your IVs (Individual Values), meaning that you can get the best out of your Pokemon’s stats. To begin Hyper Training, you will need to make sure you have fulfilled the following requirements:
- Beat the Galar League and become the Galar region Champion
- Raise any Pokemon you want Hyper Trained to Level 100
- Own either Bottle Caps or Gold Bottle Caps to Hyper Train
ALSO: Pokemon Sword and Shield Galarian Corsola was morphed by climate change
If you want to make your Pokemon the best it can be, you will likely need to Hyper Train it. With a Bottle Cap, you can raise an individual stat IV to its maximum level. A Gold Bottle Cap, meanwhile, will raise all of that Pokemon’s IV stats to their maximum level.
Pokemon Sword and Shield Hyper Training Location
You will find the Hyper Training NPC in the Battle Tower in Wyndon. As soon as you enter the building, you’ll find the Hyper Training NPC on the far right of the five NPCs behind the two counters (as per the image above). When you have fulfilled all of the above requirements, you can begin Hyper Training. Time to max those IVs.
