Destiny 2 Nightmare of Horkis location _ Wandering Nightmares Triumph

Destiny 2 Nightmare of Horkis Location | Wandering Nightmares Triumph

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep’s Moon is full of secrets, and those related to the Triumph system have several rewards in store for thorough Guardians. The Wandering Nightmares Triumph is a secret Triumph introduced in the expansion that requires players to kill four powerful bosses. Luckily, despite what their title might suggest, they actually don’t wander at all, so this guide will tell you exactly where to find the Destiny 2 Nightmare of Horkis location.

Where is the Nightmare of Horkis in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep?

Horkis — full name “Nightmare of Horkis, Fear of Mithrax” — can be found in the Anchor of Light on the Moon. When you arrive in the Sanctuary area by Eris Morn, hop on your Sparrow and head down the road to the right. Continue past the circular building until you come to the orange building with the purple tarps seen at the top of this guide. Get off your sparrow and head to the point marked by the green player icon on the map above.

Here, through a gap in the buildings, you’ll see a bluish cave. Head inside, turn to the right, and you should see Horkis’ glowing red cloud on the ledge. Once you interact with the cloud, Horkis will spawn, along with several other additional Fallen enemies. Horkis is a 970-power major, so you may want to bring some friends along for the fight.

As with all Nightmares, Horkis only shows up in certain weeks. The rotation goes like this, continuing week after week:

  • Horkis (week of November 5)
  • Jaxx (week of November 12)
  • Fallen Council (week of November 19)
  • Xortal (week of November 26)

Interestingly, when we went to the Nightmare of Horkis’ location on November 5, it was not there. At least one other player on Reddit reported Horkis not spawning, as well, so it’s not if this is a glitch or if there’s some kind of missing prerequisite. Perhaps you need to have killed the previous Nightmare in the rotation (although we were previously able to find the Fallen Council Nightmare without issue). Keep this in mind when you’re out Nightmare hunting.
