Modern Warfare 2019 Tactical Nuke

Modern Warfare 2019 Tactical Nuke | How to get

Due to some changes made in the 2019 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot, lots of players are curious as to whether Tactical Nukes are still in the game. These are the series’ most devastating killstreak rewards and were previously gained after first unlocking and equipping the killstreak, then reaching 25 consecutive kills in-game. Things are a little different this time around, however, so here’s what you need to do in order to call in a Modern Warfare 2019 Tactical Nuke.

How do you get a Tactical Nuke in Modern Warfare 2019?

Modern Warfare 2019 Tactical Nuke

First things first, one culprit for the confusion surrounding the Modern Warfare 2019 Tactical Nuke is the fact that it’s now referred to as just a “Nuke.” Naming conventions aren’t the only thing that’s new where these incredibly deadly explosives are concerned, though.

The killstreak in question no longer needs to be unlocked and equipped, rather it’s available to all players from the start of their multiplayer career. In order to counterbalance this, the consecutive kill requirement for earning a Nuke has been increased to 30 from 25. Additionally, kills gained by utilizing killstreaks do not count towards that number; all 30 kills must come via the use of weapons and tactical and lethal equipment.

There is also another way to earn a game-ending Nuke in Modern Warfare 2019, however. If a team manages to capture and then hold all five control points in the Ground War game type, what’s dubbed a “DEFCON Nuke” will automatically be called and award victory to the players dominating all objectives. This isn’t easy to do, but with the right teammates could be a more straightforward way of seeing nuclear war unleashed in-game.

While the requirements and name might be a little bit different, Tactical Nukes are definitely still alive and well in the rebooted Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
