Plants vs. Zombies Battle for Neighborville Switch release date

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Switch release date | Is it coming to Nintendo Switch?

EA and Popcap Games’ latest PvZ title is colorful, enjoyable, and can comfortably be played in short bursts or over long sessions, making it a perfect fit for the hybrid Nintendo Switch system. Despite this, it’s only currently out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One; but might it be coming to Switch later? If so, what will the Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Switch release date be?

Will Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville release on Switch?

Unfortunately, neither the game’s publisher Electronic Arts or its developer PopCap Games has announced any kind of plans with regards to bringing Battle for Neighborville to Nintendo Switch. With the family-friendly third-person shooter being a perfect fit for the platform, however, it’s quite likely that the thought has at least crossed either company’s mind.

After taking that under consideration, a potential Switch port would most likely only be given the eventual green light based on how well the existing console and PC versions of the game sell. If they flop, then it wouldn’t be a good business investment, but if they perform well there is a reason to believe that EA and PopCap would seek to bolster that success by expanding the game’s audience.

We know that EA isn’t opposed to putting their games on Nintendo Switch, as they’ve released the last three iterations of FIFA on the platform. Interestingly, the only other two titles that they’ve ported there are Fe and Unravel Two, both of which are smaller releases that are age-appropriate for the younger Nintendo audience. Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville fits that same niche, so seemingly it would be a viable candidate.

Only time will tell whether a Battle for Neighborville Switch version is eventually announced for release, though we’ll be back with an update if and when it happens.
