With Halloween fast approaching and many games announcing their seasonal plans, Gearbox Software and 2K Games’ new FPS RPG is no different. Vault Hunters that find themselves eager with anticipation for in-game spooks and scares are no doubt wondering what the Borderlands 3 Bloody Harvest event release date is, so here’s everything we know on the topic so far.
When does the Borderlands 3 Bloody Harvest Halloween event start?
Straight from the mouths of the folks behind Borderlands 3 themselves, via the debut episode of “The Borderlands Show,” this creepy content update was confirmed as the first of many entirely free additions set to be made available for all players to enjoy.

Players that have reached the point in the campaign where they depart Pandora and start exploring the wider universe aboard spaceship Sanctuary III will begin to encounter “Haunted” enemies within their game worlds. Defeating these enemies is said to unleash ghosts that’ll “scare you to death” by inciting the all-new “Terror” debuff, obscuring your vision and throwing off your aim in the process.
Overcoming these ghoulish gatekeepers earns “Hecktoplasm” that new NPC Maurice will take off your hands in exchange for entry to the Bloody Harvest map. This awful area features Halloween-themed interpretations of existing enemies (such as “Rakk-O’-Lanterns”) and appropriate locations like a graveyard and a pit complete with running rivers of blood.
After braving the perilous new content, players will ultimately encounter the “Baron of Bloody Harvest” boss for a chance to claim new Legendary loot drops. There are new cosmetics for every character, a couple of new Legendary weapons, and even more up for grabs throughout the duration of this limited-time Halloween event.
Sounds great, huh? Unfortunately, Gearbox hasn’t yet been totally forthcoming about an exact Borderlands 3 Bloody Harvest event release date, which means all that we currently know is to expect its arrival at some point later this month.
