Pokemon Go Global Ticket Event Price | Is it worth it?

It looks like the Pokemon Go Global Ticket Event price has been revealed ahead of its official release date. Eagle-eyed players spotted how to buy it and how much it costs to take part via the App Store page. Whether this was intentional or not on Niantic’s part is unclear, but you’ll want to know “Is it worth it?” to purchase one. Our Pokemon Go Global Ticket Event price guide will tell you whether it is or not. Dive in to see what’s what, Trainer.

Pokemon Go Global Ticket Event Price

As we mentioned, the Pokemon Go Global Ticket Event price got revealed via the game’s store page. If you head on over there, you’ll see that it’ll set you back $7.99 in the USA, £7.99 in the UK, and €8.99 in Europe.

This is quite steep and will no doubt be met by surprise by the game’s community when word spreads about it. Given that it costs around $1, or 79p, for 100 PokeCoins on the in-game store, the price for this global event had better have something worth getting if people are to stump up their cash.

That depends, really. The global ticket event will, according to leaks, have special Field Research tasks that will lead players to track down the Colossal Pokemon called Regigigas. There’s no word on if Regigigas will ever be available to catch or battle once this event is over. Therefore, if you want to add it to your Pokedex, forking over the money for a ticket is arguably worth it.

If you’re nonplussed about doing so, however, there’s no reason for you to part with $7.99 for the privilege to get Regigigas. If you think that in-app purchases aren’t worth it, and you think Regigigas will return sometime down the line, maybe you’re best holding onto your cash.

Once we have official confirmation about the price and potential Regigigas encounter, we’ll let you know and you can decide if it’s worth it.
