Ghost Recon: Breakpoint binoculars

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint | How to use binoculars

If you remember the days when pulling out your binoculars in Ghost Recon: Wildlands simply required a quick tap of down on the d-pad, you might be wondering where the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint binoculars have been hidden away.

There’s no reason to worry, as they’re still in the game, the process of equipping them is just a tiny bit more involved this time around. Here’s how to use binoculars in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint | Where are my binoculars?

You start Breakpoint with the binoculars unlocked from the beginning of the game, and they serve much the same purpose as a drone only with a few different strengths and weaknesses. While a drone can be flown overhead for a birdseye view of the battlefield, allowing for a lot of vital enemy intel to be acquired quickly, the hum of its engines and conspicuous hovering can lead to it being seen and alerting enemies to your presence.

Meanwhile, binoculars don’t offer quite such an expansive view but keep you safe while marking enemies and points of interest from a distance. As such, you’ll often want to make use of the binoculars in order to place yourself at the greatest possible advantage before entering a combat situation.

To access the gadget, you’ll need to hold R1/RB on PS4/Xbox One to bring up the item wheel and then navigate to the binoculars in the lower right portion (as shown in the featured image). Now you’ll be able to mark enemies and subsequently see them through walls, giving you an unparalleled advantage when it comes to remaining undetected in the title role of a highly-trained Ghost.

With tons of land to cover across the fictional island setting of Auroa, the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint binoculars are sure to come in very handy time and again as you ultimately hunt down the traitorous Colonel Cole D. Walker, depicted by Jon Bernthal (The Punisher, The Walking Dead).
