The Mario Kart Tour Super Horn is essentially a giant speaker that will flip nearby items and players. It first appeared in Mario Kart 8 and is perhaps one of the more unique items in the series. If you haven’t seen it yet, it appears as a giant red block with a yellow speaker on the end. When used, it will emit sound waves in a small circle around your cart, flipping any players in the area. Even better, if there is a shell coming at you, the Mario Kart Tour Super Horn will destroy it, keeping you safe.

If you are a Gold Pass subscriber, then you might be familiar with the “Land 5 hits with Super Horns” challenge. If you don’t know how to properly use a Super Horn, then this challenge will likely be a little bit tricky. Thankfully, understanding how the Mario Kart Tour Super Horn works won’t be too difficult. Since it only impacts a small radius around your driver’s kart, you’re only going to want to use it when someone is close by. You can check to see if anyone is close to you by using the 180 camera on the bottom of your screen or by looking for the player icon that pops up on your screen when someone is close.

It is also worth noting that you likely won’t get a Super Horn when you are in first place. So, if you’re trying to complete the Gold Pass challenge, you’re going to want to hang out in the bottom of the ranks. As a rule of thumb, those in the last few places will get better items than those in the top three spots.
