After all of these years, the Minecraft character creator has finally arrived. Yes, you read that right. Thanks to a recent update, Minecraft players can finally create and customize their own character. Gone are the days of binary characters in the pixelated world. The new character creator will allow players to customize their look until their heart is content. Here is everything you need to know about it.

Minecraft Character Creator | How to customize your character

Because of the recent 1.13.0.15 update, there is now a character creator in Minecraft. It is currently only available to a limited number of beta testers but will be making its way to the full game in the near future. This means that instead of being stuck with preset characters, players can now customize their avatar in whatever way they choose. If you’re interested in joining the beta, you can read more here. The creator is expected to launch in full alongside the release of Minecraft Earth.

If you’ve decided to join in on the beta, or are reading this after the character creator has gone live, you can customize your Minecraft avatar by going to your profile where you will see an option to edit your character. From there, you can make the necessary changes in the Minecraft character creator and then continue along your pixelated journey.

With the Minecraft character creator, players will be able to personalize their avatar by changing their body size, shape, eyes, mouth, hair, skin, and more. Additionally, there will be a wide range of free accessories that can be added to your character’s appearance, as well as some premium appearances which are available for purchase. This is likely a move by Mojang to appeal to the mobile players ahead of the launch of Minecraft Earth.
