Fortnite 2.33 Update Patch Notes

The main changes implemented by the Fortnite 2.33 update are centered around the game’s performance. Making the experience as smooth as possible is especially important in a competitive battle royale game, where 100 players are fighting to secure the victory. Therefore, it’s understandable why Epic Games would want to roll out an additional patch to fix some of the more major issues.

If you’re playing Fortnite on iOS, Xbox, or PC/Mac, you’ll be happy to hear that general stability issues have been fixed. The other changes included in the update target the Fortnite Creative.

Creative mode players will see five major changes implemented with the Fortnite 2.33 update. These are as follows:

  • Unmanned vehicles will again trigger damage traps.
  • A large shadow no longer appears while in fly mode.
  • Certain settings on devices were not being respected in featured portals. This included Trigger visibility, Barrier color choice, and other devices that included setting options for gameplay only.
  • The Music sequencer will play for both the client and server.
  • Vehicles will spawn on game start instead of in the warm-up portion.

As these changes are rolled out across new servers, players may be kicked while trying to join. Note that Epic Games is aware of this and the problem should soon go away.
