Fortnite x It Chapter Two

Fortnite x It Chapter Two Crossover Event | What do we know so far?

Fortnite It Chapter Two crossover event may be in the works, if the findings of a dataminer are to be believed. A Fortnite red balloon file was reportedly discovered in the latest build of the game, following the 10.20 update that introduced the new Fortnite Borderlands event. Well it seems that another event may have been teased with that patch, with the potential for Pennywise the clown and his creepy red balloon to appear in the game. Read on for all you need to know about the Fortnite It event.

Fortnite x It Chapter Two Crossover Event | Creepy balloon and “Illinois Laugh” leak

Fortnite x It Chapter Two

At the time of writing, there are two datamined files that appear to point towards a Fortnite It crossover event. These are the creepy balloon, which was discovered by @FortTory, and the “Illinois laugh,” which was captured by @Th3_Unkn0wns_.

The creepy balloon will be familiar to It fans, as it’s the red balloon that Pennywise the clown carries with him. The fact that the file describes the balloon as “creepy” could also be a clue to the balloon being tied to the scary clown.

In addition to the creepy balloon, there’s the “Illinois Laugh” clip. This sounds very much like Pennywise, further pushing the idea that a Fortnite It Chapter Two crossover event will be happening soon.

It Chapter Two is scheduled to release on September 6, 2019. It’s likely that we’ll see a Fortnite It event once the current Fortnite Mayhem Borderlands event has come to an end.

As always, datamined files aren’t always accurate, and changes can be made before an official announcement happens. While there’s a lot of evidence for a Fortnite It event, take the datamined info with a grain of salt. Expect an official announcement from Epic Games in the coming week.
