Oninaki Xbox One

Oninaki Xbox One Release Date

You might be wondering when the Oninaki Xbox One release date will be announced. The RPG is coming out on Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4 on August 22, but there’s been no word of a port for Microsoft’s console. If you want to know when Oninaki will be available to play on Xbox One, we’re here to help. Read our article on the subject and see when the Square Enix-published title is coming to this console.

When is the Oninaki Xbox One Release Date?

Oninaki Xbox One

Oninaki‘s release date was announced back in February, but curiously, there was no Oninaki Xbox One launch date alongside its rival platforms. As we mentioned, Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4 versions of the game are coming out imminently, but Microsoft’s console was absent from any announcement trailer.

Simply put, that’s because there isn’t an Oninaki Xbox One port. Square Enix and Tokyo RPG Factory, the game’s developers, aren’t releasing it on Microsoft’s console at the present time. That doesn’t mean that they won’t in the future. Right now, however, Xbox One fans won’t be able to play it.

It might seem weird that Oninaki won’t be coming out on Xbox One, but there are reasons as to why it isn’t. Nintendo and Sony have much bigger RPG fanbases in Asia, the U.S., and across the rest of the world than Microsoft does. It makes sense, then, that Oninaki would come to these platforms.

RPGs have a big market on PC too. Given that Microsoft’s Windows operating system powers computers across the globe, the PC port of Oninaki gives Microsoft fans a chance to play it.

With the PC port covering Microsoft devotees, it probably doesn’t make sense for Square and Tokyo RPG Factory to bring it to Xbox One. If that changes down the line, we’ll be the first to let you know.
