Dirt Rally 2 Update 1.7 Patch Notes | New DirtFish location and liveries

Dirt Rally 2.0 Update 1.7 Patch Notes

The new Dirt Rally 2 update also brings some brand new content to the game, including a new test drive location and a few liveries. Again, since this is part of the update, you will not need to spend a dime on the new location or the liveries.

The new location, dubbed DirtFish, is a brand new test drive location, allowing you to try out your cars before you take them to a race. If you were wondering, DirtFish is a school for rally racing and has its own motorsports team. As of right now, this is just a test drive location which means it is only available when you select “test drive” from the “vehicle options” menu.

While it isn’t available in any other modes yet, it is expected to hit Freeplay sometime in the future. If you were looking forward to driving on DirtFish with other racers, you may be a bit disappointed. Stated in the patch notes, there are no current plans to add the new location to Multiplayer.

The new liveries being added to Dirt Rally 2 via the 1.7 update are also themed after DirtFish. Each livery is designed for certain cars and will only be useable for that vehicle. Regardless, they all sport a black and orange colorway with the official DirtFish logo slapped across the side of the vehicle. If you want to get an idea of what to expect from the liveries, check out the picture of the Subaru WRX STI NR4 above. Here is the list of vehicles that will get a new DirtFish livery:

  • Subaru WRX STI NR4
  • Opel Adam R2
  • Ford Fiesta OMSE SuperCar Lites
  • BMW E30 M3 Evo Rally
  • Per-Inge Walfridsson – Lancia Stratos
