As we’re seemingly beginning to near the end of Fortnite Season 9, we’ve been treated to a freshly leaked batch of Fortnite Season 9 Overtime challenges, straight out of Epic Games’ famously leaky oven. In this Fortnite Season 9 Overtime challenges cheat sheet, we’ll run you through how to complete the Season 9 Overtime challenges, what the challenges are, and what you’ll get for completing them. It appears as though there is a lot of XP, cosmetic items, and more that you can unlock for completing all the Season 9 Overtime challenges in Fortnite.
Fortnite Season 9 Overtime Challenges Cheat Sheet
As stated above, the list of Fortnite Season 9 Overtime challenges has been leaked by prominent and reliable Fortnite data-miner Lucas7yoshi. This does mean that challenges have not been officially confirmed by Epic Games. Therefore, please do take them all with a pinch of salt. While not normally the case, the Overtime challenges listed below could change.

Before we dive into the Fortnite Season 9 Overtime challenges, you’d surely like to know what you get for completing them all? According to Lucas7yoshi, you’ll be rewarded a whopping 15,000 XP for completing all 12 Overtime challenges. Along with other XP rewards for completing single challenges, you’ll be able to earn an impressive 50,000 XP in total here. Read on for the Season 9 Overtime challenges and how to complete them.
Stage 1 of 2: Reach Battle Pass Tier 23
As you can see, this is a two-stage challenge. Completing this one will require you completing both stages. Thankfully, neither stages should be too difficult to complete and are both self-explanatory:
- Stage 1 of 2: Reach Battle Pass Tier 23
- Stage 2 of 2: Complete Free Overtime Challenges (simply complete three Overtime challenges)
Completing this challenge should reward you with the Athena Commando Bunkerman skin and the Bunkerman style B skin.
Stage 1 of 2: Reach Battle Pass Tier 71
Another two-stage challenge here. Again, it is a relatively straightforward one to complete. If you keep playing Fortnite and keep track of these Overtime challenges, it should be simple enough, anyway.
- Stage 1 of 2: Reach Battle Pass Tier 71
- Stage 2 of 2: Complete Free Overtime Challenges (you’ll need to complete six Overtime challenges)
Completing this challenge should reward you with both the Athena Commando Stormtracker skin and the Stormtracker Style B skin.
Stage 1 0f 2: Reach Battle Pass Tier 87
The final two-stage challenge of the lot is the same as the two above, but more difficult again. The two stages are as follows:
- Stage 1 of 2: Reach Battle Pass Tier 87
- Stage 2 of 2: Complete Free Overtime Challenges (complete nine Overtime challenges)
Completing this challenge should reward you with the Athena Commando Masako skin and the Masako Style B skin.
Work together with friends to get eliminations
In order to complete this challenge, you will need to play Fortnite with friends. While playing with friends, you will need to get a total of 25 eliminations. Doing so will complete the challenge and unlock 2,500 XP for you.
Damage opponents with Shotguns (try Party Assist!)
Although the leaked challenge suggests that you try Party Assist, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to use it in order to complete this challenge. To complete this challenge and earn yourself a cool 2,500 XP, you will need to deal 2,500 damage to opponents with Shotguns.
Visit Loot Lake, Polar Peak, and Pressure Plant
This challenge should be easy enough. All you need to do is visit Loot Lake, Polar Peak, and Pressure Plant, presumably in the same match. Be wary of other players when attempting this one, though. Completing this challenge will supposedly earn you a Doggus Loading Screen.
Revive a Friend in different matches
This is another challenge where you will need to be playing with a Friend or with Friends. You will need to revive a friend in three different matches. No reviving three friends in the same match for you. Completing this challenge should earn you 5,000 XP.
Damage opponents with Assault Rifles (try Party Assist!)
Here’s another challenge that suggests you try Party Assist. Again, we’re unsure whether or not Party Assist will be required here. That notwithstanding, however, you will need to deal a total of 2,500 damage to opponents with Assault Rifles. Completing this challenge should reward you with 5,000 XP.
Dance inside a holographic Durr Burger head
It seems as though a challenge from Season 9 Week 4 is returning here with the game once again asking us to dance inside a holographic Durr Burger head. If the location of this giant holographic Durr Burger head hasn’t changed, head to the location above and you should see it on top of a large Durr Burger building. Simply get inside the holographic burger head and use a dance emote. Completing this challenge should reward you with the World Cup 2019 Loading Screen.
Place Top 15 in Duos or Squads with a friend
This is yet another challenge that you’ll need to take on with a friend in order to complete. Sorry, any Fortnite loners out there. To complete this challenge, play with a friend you know is good and place Top 15 in either Duos or Squads mode a total of five times. Try and try again until you get this one done. Completing this challenge should award you with a whopping 10,000 XP.
Deal damage with SMGs to opponents (try Party Assist!)
Here’s yet another challenge that suggests you try Party Assist. Again, we’re unsure whether or not Party Assist will be necessary here. Despite that, all you need to do in order to complete this challenge is deal a total of 2,500 damage to opponents with SMGs. Completing this challenge should award you with 10,000 XP.
Score a goal on an indoor soccer pitch
The final Fortnite Season 9 Overtime challenge is rather simple if you know the location of the indoor soccer pitch. All you need to do is score one goal on an indoor soccer pitch. Completing this challenge will reward you with the Utopia Key Loading Screen. We’ve highlighted the location of the indoor soccer pitch above, which you can find inside the largest building just north of the snow biome. Simply push the ball into the goal by walking into it.
