What is the Black Ops 4 Reaper Silent Footsteps Bug?

Black Ops 4 Reaper Silent Footsteps Bug

The Black Ops 4 Reaper silent footsteps bug is self-explanatory. Basically, players can’t hear when Reaper is approaching as his footsteps make no sounds. This is a major problem for opposition teams as, if they can’t hear Reaper moving up on their six, they won’t be able to attack him or run away if they are low on health.

Various threads have popped up on the game’s Reddit page with users asking if there’s a solution to this issue. This is only a fraction of the players who have encountered this bug too, as not every Black Ops 4 gamer posts on Reddit.

Is there a Black Ops 4 Reaper Silent Footsteps Bug Fix?

Black Ops 4 Reaper Silent Footsteps Bug

At the moment there isn’t a fix for this Black Ops 4 Reaper silent footsteps bug. Where other developers might not respond to such issues straight away, however, Treyarch is on the ball.

David Vonderhaar, Treyarch’s Game Designer Director, took to his personal Twitter account a few hours after the update went live. In his tweet on the subject, Vonderhaar revealed that the team was pulling Reaper from the playable character roster until they could fix the bug.

Vonderhaar didn’t give an update on when Reaper would be available to play again, but we imagine it won’t be a long wait. Treyarch will want to get the Specialist back in gamers’ hands as soon as possible. Expect a small patch with this fix to come very soon.
