Even though we still have until 2020 before our cyberpunk adventure with Keanu Reeves begins, you may want to start figuring out disk space while you’re ahead. The Cyberpunk 2077 file size is a hefty one. Whether you’re playing on consoles or PC, get ready for a lengthy installation.
Cyberpunk 2077 file size PS4, Xbox One, and PC
Cyberpunk 2077 is going to set you back at least 70GB of space depending on how you choose to play the game. The only confirmed disk space number is for PlayStation 4 users, and even that number may be misleading. According to users on Reddit, a developer confirmed that the disk space number used in the PlayStation Store was a placeholder. Since there is still work being done to the game and things are being added, the beast will likely only get bigger.
How much space do I need for Cyberpunk 2077
PlayStation 4 owners will, as of writing, need to make the most room for Cyberpunk 2077. At 80GB, the install is bigger than most, but hopefully will be able to take advantage of some of the PlayStation Pro’s extra capabilities. If you’re on PC, Game-Debate predicted 70GB would be the necessary minimum, but it wouldn’t hurt to fully prepare for the 80GB that the PlayStation 4 requires. (If money is no object, you could even drop over $4,000 on a rig akin to the one that showed off Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 and have plenty of disk space to boot.) As for Xbox One users, we also recommend preparing for at least a full 80GB install. The exact space requirement for Xbox One has yet to be released and we will update here when we learn more. On the plus side for Xbox One, Cyberpunk 2077 will be able to run in full 4K.
As stated above, however, these numbers are both minimums and placeholders. The closer Cyberpunk 2077 gets to launch, the more will be added into the ambitious title. You may want to free up even more space to be extra-prepared for launch.
