Is there a Cadence of Hyrule physical edition?

If you’ve been wondering whether there’s a Cadence of Hyrule physical edition that could be released, we’ve got you covered. The Zelda-themed Crypt of the NecroDancer spin-off is coming to Nintendo Switch imminently, but there’s been confusion over a physical, boxed version of the title. Find out the definitive answer to this with our Cadence of Hyrule physical edition guide.

Is there a Cadence of Hyrule physical copy?

Cadence of Hyrule physical edition

The short answer to this query is no, there isn’t a Cadence of Hyrule physical edition. The game was given a surprise release date of Friday, June 13 at E3 2019. With its launch being right around the corner, there’s been no time for Nintendo to bring out a physical version of the game.

The fact that there were no pre-order editions made for the game showed that a physical edition was always unlikely. This has now been proven by its rapidly approaching release date too.

The only way you can get a copy of Cadence of Hyrule is via the Nintendo eShop. You will have to fork over $24.99, or £19.99 in the UK, to grab it for yourself.

Will there be a Cadence of Hyrule physical edition?

Cadence of Hyrule physical edition

You can never say never over a possible Cadence of Hyrule physical edition. It’s only being released digitally for now, but that doesn’t discount the potential for it to be brought out in a physical format in the future.

If the game sells well on the Nintendo eShop, the gaming giant could decide that it deserves a physical version. This would certainly entice parents who might look to buy it for their kids or anyone who is still a fan of physical media.

Naturally, there are no plans for this in the immediate future, but we live in hope that a physical edition will work its way to store shelves and online shops.
