FFXIV Rainmaker Hair

How to get FFXIV Rainmaker hair in The Make it Rain campaign 2019

Players are looking to get the FFXIV Rainmaker Hair cosmetic item. The Make It Rain campaign has just kicked off, and fans of Final Fantasy 14 are understandably mystified as to the location of the Rainmaker Hair, a pretty cool cosmetic item that puts your hair into a spikey ponytail. Unfortunately, they’re having a bit of trouble tracking it down.

The Make It Rain Campaign has a number of different rewards available. These include the Senor Sabotender emote and the opportunity to get 30,000 MGP added to your Manderville Gold Saucer account (basically the game’s version of a casino). Considering the name of the event, players are (understandably) searching for the FFXIV Rainmaker Hair in the casino but are coming up short. How can they get it?

FFXIV Rainmaker Hair

Previously, the FFXIV Rainmaker Hair was available with a bunch of other items in the Manderville Gold Saucer. It seems like it has been removed from this year’s selection of items, either on purpose or in error. Several users on the Internet have appeared confused about this item missing. Take note of this forum post and this Reddit submission that show players mystified about the missing item.

Unfortunately, it seems that the FFXIV Rainmaker Hair isn’t likely to be made available in the Manderville Gold Saucer this year. As noted in this Reddit submission, a cursory analysis of the game’s database using a third-party tool shows that the Rainmaker Hair (along with the Stuffed Sabotender) are no longer available at the special NPC that makes an appearance for The Make It Rain Campaign.

If you can’t get the Rainmaker Hair via the event’s special NPC, how do you get it? For that answer, we have to look at Square Enix’s past behavior with such items. Typically, they add older seasonal items to the Mog Station shop (which requires spending real-world money) a year or two later. If the Rainmaker Hair is going to be made available at all this year, you’re going to have to pony up some real-world cash to buy it.
