Most stages can be unlocked by simply completing other stages or unlocking the characters featured in the stage. However, there are certain stages which require certain conditions to be met in order to be unlocked.

Rare Items

These rare equipment items can be obtained on HARD or CHAOS by playing the stage specified (non-Redux versions where applicable), with any of the characters specified in your party (you do not need to actually use the specified characters to achieve the necessary K.O.s). Once you achieve the required K.O.s, you will get a battle message stating that treasure has been found (you can check the Battle Log if needed), and a gold-colored item box will spawn near where you achieved the required K.O.s, so look for it and grab it before finishing the stage.


Bear Saddle: Begin battle mounted on a bear. - Chapter 3: Battle of Yamazaki  Zhang He, Nemea, or Guo Jia, 1000 K.O.s


Demon Mask: Enables attacks from behind to be blocked. - Chapter 2: Battle of Nanzhong  Xiahou Ba, 1500 K.O.s


Eight Hand Mirror: Occasionally repel enemy projectile attacks when mounted. - Chapter 2: Battle of Hasedo  Kunoichi, 2000 K.O.s


Elephant Saddle: Begin battle mounted on an elephant. - Chapter 3: Battle of Hulao Gate  Yukimura Sanada, Achilles, or Orochi, 1500 K.O.s


Gauntlets of Malice: Refills a certain amount of Musou Gauge when executing a Counterattack. - Chapter 2: Battle of Xuchang  Guan Yu, Hanzo Hattori, or Sanzang, 1000 K.O.s


Gauntlets of Vitality: Refills a certain amount of Life Gauge when executing a Counterattack. - Chapter 2: Battle of Mt. Dingjun  No, Zhao Yun, or Gyuki, 1500 K.O.s


Gold Gauntlets: Cannot be knocked over when blocking. - Chapter 2: Battle of Kyushu  Sun Shangxiang, 1500 K.O.s
