Infinite Items and Money
Open 2 copies of Terraria. Log into a world with the character that has the items you want to duplicate. If they are in a chest, get them from the chest and save and exit, then log back into the same world. Login as the SAME character on a different world. On the first character, put whatever you want into a chest, then save and exit. On the second character, save and exit from that world, then log into the other world that has the item in the chest and grab the item. Now you should have the item in your inventory, and a copy would be in the chest. you can grab that copy and now you have 2. This is useful if you want multiple grappling hooks for friends or even gold/armor. You can repeat but remember to save and exit, THEN try it again as it wot work in one long run.
Item Duplication
(Unconfirmed) Remember to SAVE your progress and make a backup of your save. Alter game files at your own risk
Deposit the item you want in a chest
Save the game and exit
Go back in the game and withdraw the item you want to clone and put it in your inventory
Wait 5 min (Very Important)
Close the game via Alt-F4
Go back into and there is your cloned item
You should now have the same item in the chest and in your inventoryHard Mode
You can enable Hard Mode by killing the Wall of Flesh. To summon him, throw a guide voodoo doll into some lava. Once you slay the Wall of Flesh, Hard Mode is permanently enabled and cannot be disabled on the file unless you modify it with a third-party program. In Hard Mode, a new biome (The Hallow) is created, and you will encounter additional new bosses, items, and monsters.
Glitches
Chest Clone Glitch
This glitch works just about any server and any mode on it. Please read carefully. My brother first discovered this glitch and we were like amazed. So pretty much it's a good way to harvest at least 2~3 Platinum Coins depending on how much room you got in your inventory.
1) Place two Active Blocks on any surface.
2) Place any kind of Chest (Chest, Golden or Shadow) on the Active Blocks,
3) Put an item in the Chest (recommended to deposit useless item, like a Dirt Block)
4) Place a switch or button beside the Active Blocks.
5) Wire the switch/button to the Active Blocks.
6) Trigger the switch/button and you'll get 3~5 chests everytime you right-click it.
You can get about an entire inventory full stack of these. One stack is worth 9 Gold 90 Silver, and that is a lot! You can have about 30 Stacks of these if you emptied out your entire inventory, or 40 if you emptied everything.Secrets
Easy Adamantite Ores
Before jumping to the best part, make sure you have defeated the Wall of Flesh once, destroyed at least 3 Demon Alters (you're free to break as many as you want, but don't break all of them), and you need to have the Mythril Drill to collect Adamantite. Adamantite are very rare but you can save all your stress for another time because you can use the Spelunker Potion to easily locate and detect Adamantite! The Spelunker Potion also helps you find other things like gem stones, pots, chests and other ores! All except for Hellstone. Adamantite should be slightly magenta but has red tints, so it should be easy to recognize. Crafting Spelunker Potion is easy. All you need are:
1) Glass to make bottles (2 stacks or more)
2) Collect and keep Gold Ores
3) Collect and keep Moonglow and Blinkroot
4) Make sure all bottles contained water
And hey-presto! You should have a stack (or two) Spelunker Potions.How to easily defeat the Wall of Flesh
This is right AFTER beating the Wall of Flesh (or in Hard Mode), but this is just a tip for those who want to beat it within a minute or two. The first thing you got to do is follow these steps:
1)Get a Mini or Mega Shark (I prefer Mega Shark more if I were you)
2) Make sure they have a prefix Demonic or Unreal (only the Mini Shark can have Demonic as the highest; the Mega Shark can have Unreal)
3) Optional: Wear the Ranger Emblem or any other Accessories that has a prefix that boosts Ranged Damage
4) Carry at least 1000 Crystal Bullets as they're good for doing spread damage (for me, I usually carry 2500 Crystal Bullets wherever I go)
5) Optional: Wear a full set of Cobalt, Mythrl, Adamantite or Hollow with a Head Gear that boosts Ranged Damage
6) Make a bridge in the Nether (or Hell) so t would make the boss fight a lot more easier
Likewise, throw in the Guide Voodoo doll in the lava in the Nether, and get ready to fire without any hesitation. You should able to defeat the Wall of Flesh within less than a minute or 2. And you'll have a major profit (or outcome)!Easter Egg
Red's Alternate Armor
Equip the gold helmet, a frost chest plate, and frost leggings, with black and blue flame dye on all armor pieces. You will receive special vanity effects, which is a reference to Red's armor as depicted in the 1.2 Random Happenings trailer.
Santa Claus is coming to town!
Santa does exist in this game, but only during the month December. He will move into your home if you have a room for him to stay after you defeat the Frost Legion. Which is the Hard Mode version of the Goblin Army (kind of). Santa Claus will sell you Santa Clothes, Candy Canes and such. After the month December ends, he will suddenly die.
