The Rage 2 BFG is in the game but not for everyone. Currently, you can only get it if you have the deluxe edition since Bethesda has not put it up for sale for the masses. Then you have to register your game to your Bethesda account while in the game, which you can do from the main menu. It should be signified by the Triangle button on PS4 and Y on Xbox One.

After you register your deluxe edition to your Bethesda account, make sure you are connected to the internet. In our tests, we did not get the Rage 2 BFG to spawn unless we had an active internet connection.

Once you do all of that, you have to go into the game and it will tell you where it is. But the game is tricky and doesn’t tell you exactly where to look.

To find the BFG in Rage 2, go to the Twisting Canyons region, which is the southern section. From here, go to the exact point in the picture above. Once you get near, you should see some sort of object crash into the soil. Once you stroll over to the spot, you’ll see that Big Firing Gun (that’s what it stands for, right?) just sitting there for you to grab.

Just because you have the gun doesn’t mean you’ll just be able to use it whenever. The Rage 2 BFG ammo can’t be found within the open world. You have to buy it from the Bon Bon Boom! shop in Wellspring, which is one of the towns in Torn Plains.
