Days Gone 1.06 Update Patch Notes

Days Gone 1.06 Update Patch Notes | New PS4 update today

The new Days Gone 1.06 update patch notes are now available, though they were initially limited to “General fixes” only. More information about the new update today has been added to this article, in which developer Bend Studio explains the changes. PS4 players can force the update to download and install by highlighting the game on the PS4’s dashboard, hitting Triangle, and then selecting “Check for updates.” It should be noted, however, that there are reports of the new Days Gone patch having a negative impact on performance. Here’s what you need to know.

Upon downloading the Days Gone 1.06 update on PS4, players can check the “Update History” to get more information on what changes the patch implemented. Unfortunately, in the case of Days Gone 1.06, information is limited only to “General fixes.” To truly know what the 132 MB update does, players need to hunt the patch notes down online.

Here’s what “General fixes” translates to:

General Fixes

  • Auto-save function will now save the correct number of saves to your save cloud account

  • Audio should no longer be cut out/dropped when it involves equipping certain engines and certain exhausts to your bike

  • Difficulty settings are retained through patches

While it’s good to see the game getting another patch and further post-launch support, some users on Reddit have reported that installing the 1.06 update has had a negative impact on their Days Gone gameplay experience.

Reddit user “Negative_Nester” reported the following:

Since the release of the patch, my PS4 Pro has hard crashed twice, almost instantaneously. I have tried multiple games and I am not experiencing any such issue. From what I’m reading from a couple other people I am not the only one experiencing the issue. The game is literally unplayable. Is anyone not experiencing this problem?

If you are planning a big Days Gone marathon today, perhaps consider holding off on downloading the 1.06 update. Here’s hoping developer Bend Studio release a statement tackling the reports of crashing problems, as the reports of crashing is no doubt stopping players from updating their game.

When you do play the game again, with or without 1.06 installed, be sure to hunt down the best weapons with the help of our Weapon Tiers and Rarity guide.
