Fortnite Season 9

Fortnite Season 9 | When does Fortnite Season 9 begin?

With Fortnite Season 8 well underway, players are beginning to wonder how much longer they have to tier up their Battle Pass before Fortnite Season 9 begins and they have a fresh start. Players can rest assured that they still have a little bit longer to grind for rewards before the Fortnite Season 9 start date. However, it with Season 8 having begun around the end of February, it is only about halfway through its life cycle. So Fortnite Season 9 isn’t too far away!

When is Fortnite Season 9 set to begin?

Season 8 began on February 28 and is expected to end on May 8. This means that Fortnite Season 9 could begin as early as May 9. We would expect it to start promptly after Season 8, so if it doesn’t begin on May 9, it will likely begin within the next day or two. Fortnite seasons tend to run for about 10 weeks, so if Epic continues with that trend, it’s safe to say that Fortnite Season 9 will begin somewhere around May 9.

The theme for Season 8 was pirates, but it remains to be seen what is in store for Season 9. There have been interesting clues throughout Season 8, that could point to what Season 9 will be about. Throughout this season, there has been tropical changes, earthquakes, and even a volcanic eruption. While this isn’t much, you can use it to help speculate what you think Fortnite Season 9 will be about.

Fortnite Season 9

Beyond the Season 9 start date, the latest patch is set to come to Fortnite later this week in the form of v8.30 update. It is supposedly bringing with it Reboot Vans, which will allow players to respawn their teammates when playing duos, trios, or squads. This process is very similar to that of Apex Legendswhere players recover their teammates banner and take it to one of the respawn points. The process will be pretty much the same in Fortnite, except the respawn point will be a Reboot Van.
