The mysterious helicopter first showed up in Fortnite in February at the beginning of Season 8, and has been a conundrum to players ever since. The helicopter has been moving all around the map, stopping in different locations for a short period of time before moving somewhere else. There have been 12 different Fortnite helicopter locations so far, and it doesn’t look like it is going to stop moving anytime soon. We have decided to track all of the different Fortnite helicopter locations so we can see where it has been and where else it could be going.
Where are all of the Fortnite helicopter locations?
As you can see in the picture above, the helicopter first appeared in the top right corner of the map. It then traveled next to Lonely Lodge before making its way down to the bottom right of the map next to the racing track. From there it headed to the very bottom right corner of the map near Paradise Palms. Then it headed left and stopped to the right of Lucky Landing before parking next to Happy Hamlet. After that it traveled north up the side of the map and landed near Frosty Flights, Snobby Shores, Pleasant Park, and The Block. It then parked near Lazy Lagoon, and currently sits atop the mountain next to Dusty Divot.
It’s pretty safe to say that this is not the end of the helicopter’s journey, and it will likely move around the map at least a few more times. It seems that the next places it could visit are towards the middle of the map, like Shifty Shafts, Tilted Towers, Salty Springs, Retail Row, and a few other spots.
Why is there a helicopter flying around in Fortnite?
No one really knows why the helicopter is flying around in Fortnite. The speculation is that it is setting up the story for Season 9, which is set to begin in early May. It seems that the helicopter is surveying the map for some reason, and that may be why it is traveling around to all of these different locations. But what could it be searching for? One popular theory is that the Fortnite helicopter is searching for Hop Rocks that were added to the game back in Season 4 when a meteor crashed into the world.
While no one really knows why the helicopter is moving around in Fortnite, it seems to be leading up to some kind of event that will likely take place in Season 9.
