The Devil May Cry 5 1.7 update is now live and it brings with it the brand-new free Bloody Palace mode. Along with that, the 1.7 update has also brought with it a Devil May Cry 5 PS4 censored scene update. That’s right, players will find the Devil May Cry 5 nudity restored after the latest patch. That lens flare is gone after the most recent update.
Devil May Cry 5 PS4 Censored Scene Update | Is nudity restored?
Despite being a game aimed towards adults, the PS4 version of Devil May Cry 5 launched in the west with a small amount of censorship. The Devil May Cry 5 censorship in question was only found in one particular scene. Essentially, the Western PS4 release of the game covered up Trish’s naked butt with a purple lens flare effect. You can see the censorship in this NSFW video.
Of course, this riled the feathers of a few PS4 owners who were bummed out by the censorship. Now though, it appears that Capcom has gotten to the bottom of the issue and has removed the lens flare in question—for one region, anyway, as Capcom has only removed the censorship on North American PS4 copies of Devil May Cry 5. The lens flare remains on European copies of the game after the update. Europe is still the butt of the joke, apparently. With that said, North American owners of Devil May Cry 5 can now play the game completely uncensored.
Devil May Cry 5 PS4 Censored Scene Update | What else has changed in the 1.7 update?
The main addition offered as part of the Devil May Cry 5 1.7 update is the new free Bloody Palace mode. In this, you will fight through floors of enemies until you are defeated. Just keep going as long as you can in a true test of your skills. You will have to complete Devil May Cry 5 on Human or Devil Hunter difficulty in order to play the new Bloody Palace mode, however.

Dante appears as a bonus character and a boss fight for your party, which is fitting since Shin Megami Tensei is all about summoning demons to do your dirty work. -
SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS
Along with loads of characters from both Capcom and SNK, Dante made an appearance as a card in this TCG-focused Nintendo DS game. A follow-up to a string of NeoGeo Pocket games, Card Fighters only features the gaming heroes during the card battles. -
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds
Dante was one of the most exciting additions to the Marvel vs. Capcom roster when Fate of Two Worlds hit the streets. His brother Vergil also joins the cast in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, letting fans play out the legendary rivalry in a new way. -
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
Dante along made the jump to Infinite, the poorly received new entry in this crossover fighting franchise. Still controlling as he did in 3, he's one of the easier characters to learn no matter where you select him. While this is the only fighting series this Dante has appeared in, this isn't the only Dante around. -
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale
Appearing in his DmC style, Dante was one of the third-party characters battling it out in Sony's attempt at a Smash Bros. game. Several other characters from Ninja Theory's reboot appear in the periphery, including sidekick Kat as a mascot figure. -

A crossover tactics game featuring the characters of Capcom, Namco Bandai and Sega, Project X Zone finds Dante hanging out with some gaming's most notable demons. His partner in the first entry in the series is Demitri Maximoff, the vampiric protagonist of Darkstalkers. -

In X Zone 2, Vergil joins him and the two brothers utilize franchise specific attacks when used. From Ebony and Ivory to Nevan the shotgun guitar, they're ready to go with their entire arsenal. They also bicker endlessly, which you'd expect from such volatile partners. -
Puzzle Fighter
The latest Dante cameo is also one of the rarest. He was one of the new characters added to Puzzle Fighter, a mobile-only spinoff of the popular Capcom puzzle game that lasted less than a year on mobile storefronts. At least we got one more weird chibi Dante out of the deal.
