In terms of new content, there is little to love about the 1.05 update. Hidden within its nearly 8.5 GB file we have a new skin for Rico alongside an updated Customization menu. That’s it in terms of new content. The new skin is a solid one, however. After installing the new update, Just Cause 4 players will be able to play as Rico as he looked in Just Cause 3 for free. Fans of double denim will be thrilled.

Alongside the new outfit for Rico and updated Customization menu is a list of graphical improvements. The water and vegetation should now look nicer, along with improvements made to anti-aliasing and 4K rendering. Various bug fixes and performance improvements have also been made in the large 1.05 update.

The hefty patch brings with it a good amount of improvements. Slowly, but surely, Just Cause 4 is becoming the game it always should have been. You can read the full Xbox One and PS4 patch notes below, as per the Square Enix developer update:

  • Performance improvements
  • Water improvements
  • Vegetation improvements
  • New anti-aliasing system
  • New 4K rendering solution
  • Various bug fixes
  • Updated Customization menu
  • JC3 Rico Skin (Legacy Item)

On top of this, the PC will be receiving what is largely the same update later this week. Chroma Keyboard support is also part of the update on PC, too.

To make things even better for those wishing for a stronger Just Cause 4 experience, more updates are on the way. As part of the developer update linked above, we know that another game update is scheduled to go live at some point in either April or May 2019. The developers are also working on “a free monthly challenge program starting with the launch of DLC2. These Monthly Challenges will test even the most skilled JC players. Completing each challenge will earn you cosmetic rewards for your wingsuit & parachute.”

Big things lie ahead for Just Cause 4.
