Dragon Age Inquisition Won't Load Custom World State

Dragon Age Inquisition Won’t Load Custom World State | Is there a Keep fix?

Despite releasing way back in 2014, a brand-new Dragon Age Inquisition bug has materialized. What’s more, it’s an annoying issue that is affecting all players on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Read on to discover all there is to know about the Dragon Age Inquisition Won’t Load Custom World State bug, especially if you can’t create a custom save state for the game. This includes a potential Dragon Age Inquisition Custom World State bug fix.

What is the Dragon Age Inquisition Won’t Load Custom World State bug?

Since the end of last week, it appears a bug has returned to wreak havoc on Dragon Age Inquisition. In the Dragon Age games, players can take to the Dragon Age Keep website to personalize their game worlds. You do this by telling the website all the choices you made in previous games. This should create a Custom World State for you to play in which has been impacted by previous decisions, both good and bad. The trouble is, it simply isn’t working.

Thanks to this official support forum thread, we know that players have been trying everything to get their Custom World States working in Dragon Age Inquisition. Instead, the game is only giving players the default World State to play in. The Golden Nug statue has also gone missing for a bunch of players, which means they can’t access items they’ve earned in previous playthroughs of the game. Bizarrely, this bug has appeared now, nearly five years after the game originally released.

Is there a Dragon Age Inquisition Won’t Load Custom World State fix?

Thanks to the thread above, we do know that EA is looking into the problem. Before then, however, there are fixes available for players on PS4 and PC, sorry, Xbox One owners. This is only a workaround, but it has worked for a good number of players already.

Follow these steps (thanks to the link above [see highlighted fixes available]) to get Dragon Age Inquisition Custom World States working on PS4 and PC:

  • Launch the game and head into settings
  • Uncheck all three options of syncing your data with the servers, which are as follows:
    • Log in Automatically
    • Send my Data to EA
    • Send my Data to the Keep
  • Restart the game
  • Log in manually
  • Start a new game

This should hopefully get your Custom World State back up and running in Dragon Age Inquisition on PS4 and Xbox One. If it doesn’t, however, try turning on the Origin in-game Overlay.

If nothing works here, however, you’re going to have to wait alongside the Xbox One players for an official fix via a patch. EA is aware of the issue, so hopefully, a patch shouldn’t be too far away.
