While Apex Legends has done incredibly well in such a short space of time, the game will soon need to adapt to the growing demand and quickly evolve to offer something more. Thankfully, developer Respawn Entertainment has already detailed a roadmap, which includes a Battle Pass. The sooner players can get grinding up through the tiers, the better chance this game has at continuing on with its success. When does the Apex Legends Season 1 start? Here’s what you need to know.
Apex Legends Season 1 | When does it start?
As a free-to-play game, Apex Legends has to be monetized in more creative ways than the usual $60 entry fee. Apex Crates (loot boxes) are already available for players to purchase, and there are rotating cosmetics in the game’s store that can be bought directly. However, to really push for a revenue boost, Respawn will need to implement a Battle Pass, offering tiered rewards that players can grind out over the course of a month or longer. With other games like Fortnite and PUBG making great use of the Battle Pass strategy, we can expect Apex Legends to do the same, should it be well-implemented.
Per the game’s roadmap, Apex Legends Season 1 is set to start during March. It’s not clear when during the month it will be implemented, but with Fortnite Season 8 now starting, it would be wise for Respawn to offer some competition as soon as possible.
The Apex Legends Season 1 start time will be in March. Season 2 is listed for June, Season 3 for September, and Season 4 for December.
If the Apex Legends Battle Pass is similar to other battle royale passes, we can expect to enjoy a variety of different challenges, which reward a range of cosmetics. Expect to see skins, emotes, new calling cards, and more. This will hopefully all come with a competitive price tag.
