Some PC users will need to be aware of the Anthem PC Origin save file bug. If you ordered BioWare’s RPG title through Origin, you may have noticed that your save file has gone missing since the latest update. Find out what the Anthem PC Origin save file bug fix is, and how you can recover your save file.
Anthem PC Origin save file bug
The Anthem PC Origin save file bug obviously only affects those playing through EA’s digital distribution program. For those of you who will need to know what it is, the error causes your save file to disappear due to the latest Origin update.
One Reddit user, called SumPro, found this out to their cost during a gameplay session recently. Despite being in the middle of playing Anthem, their PC opted to download and install an update for Origin. After the program was done doing so, SumPro was unable to find their save again, and thought they had lost all of their progress.
Anthem PC Origin save file bug fix
Thankfully, there’s a quick fix for the Anthem PC Origin save file bug. Load Anthem up as if you were going to play on your current save. After you’ve been connected to EA’s live servers, press the F key (no memes here, please) instead of space.
This will take you to the Pilots selection screen, and you should see that you now have two pilots to choose from. Set the original one, you’ve played with before, to active. Hit the Escape key, which returns you to the title screen. Then, press space like you normally would, and your save file should still be intact.
You shouldn’t need to delete the extra pilot that’s available in the selection screen, so it’s best just to leave it there in case deleting it causes you more problems down the line.
