To unlock the Far Cry New Dawn grappling hook, you will need to get three perk points. You can earn perk points by completing missions, helping your companions complete side missions and expeditions, and liberating outposts from the evil Highwaymen gang.

It won’t be too difficult to pick three perk points up, so once you do you’ll have enough to get the grappling hook. To unlock it, bring up your map and flick through the tabs to the “perks” page. Scroll through the list of things you can get. Find the grappling hook one, and press the Square or X button on your PS4 or Xbox One controller to unlock it.

Now that you own the Far Cry New Dawn grappling hook, you can use it to get to places that were out of reach earlier. To get it to work, you will need to keep an eye out for areas that you can grapple to, such as steel rods that jut out from structures or rings that are attached to rocks.

Simply look up to the object that you want to reach, and press the action button on your controller or keyboard to automatically release the grappling hook. You can then push up on your joystick, D-pad, or assigned keyboard key to climb the rope attached to the hook.

You can get a better lay of the land from these vantage points, or even find some loot in faraway places, making the grappling hook in Far Cry New Dawn well worth the effort to obtain.
