If you want to get the Far Cry New Dawn binoculars as soon as possible, you’ll have to do a bit of legwork first. The way to unlock these is via the game’s Perks tab. You can access this by bringing up your map, and then cycling to the right until you come across the Perks tab.

The binoculars need four perk points to be unlocked. You earn perk points by exploring post-apocalyptic Hope County, freeing prisoners, taking down outposts, completing main missions, or taking part in and completing challenges. Once you have enough points, simply head back to the Perks tab. Press the X button on PS4, or A button on Xbox One, to acquire them and they’ll be added to your inventory.

First off, you’ll need to know how to use the binoculars. To bring up your Far Cry New Dawn binoculars, simply tap “up” on the D-pad. Once you’re viewing enemies through them, you only need to hover over them and the game will automatically tag them for you.

Alternatively, if you don’t have the Far Cry New Dawn binoculars, you can still tag enemies. Bring up your weapon of choice, aim down the sights, hover over any enemy you see, and they’ll be tagged too. It doesn’t matter if they’re human or animals, either. You’ll tag them regardless, and help your friends out by doing so.
