As you approach the treasure hunt area, you’ll find several Highwaymen surrounding the house. You’ll know you’re in the right place because you’ll hear the loud crackling of electricity coming from the trap barring your way to the treasure cache.

After dispatching the Highwaymen with your preferred method, you can approach the first clue to solving this Far Cry New Dawn treasure hunt. Near the large apparatus that’s discharging electricity, you’ll find a note written by one of the Highwaymen.

The note reads:

The machine turned itself on when we drove by, and if that’s not an invitation, I don’t know what is.

Problem now though is that it’s making this weird lightning shit and blocking the bunker door RIGHT in front of us.

It’s been a long day and I want to get looting. Figure out how the fuck we shut off the power to this thing.

The note doesn’t really give you much of a clue on how to turn the electricity off, though it does let you know it’s blocking the treasure. To find out where you need to go, trace the electric wires tracing off the device. You’ll see that they lead to the nearby house.

The door to the house is locked, and you’ll need to find a way to open it to get in. To open the door, jump on top of the house and look for a grate that allows you to see into the house and see the door. From this angle, you can shoot the lock off of the door from the inside, which will allow you to enter the house.

From the door, take a left and head into the kitchen. Here you’ll find the Squatter Journal, which tells you how the device got activated in the first place.

It reads:

My buddy and I came here hoping Larry left behind some mad science shit but then the Highwaymen showed up and I had to hide.

I thought maybe pulling the switch in the back would do something to scare them off but all it did was make them mad.

Now I’m stuck hoping they don’t realize I’m here. God damn it Larry Parker. What kind of useless machine did you build out there.

Keep heading down the hall, and you’ll reach the switch the note was talking about. Flip it, and it’ll deactivate the electric trap outside.

Before you leave the house, make sure and loot it thoroughly and grab the Titanium from the safe in the boarded up room.

Once you’ve gotten all the goodies from the house, head outside and down the ladder that was previously guarded by the electric trap. As you enter the bunker, you’ll find another Squatter Journal.

This journal reads:

God, this is no good. I don’t know what happened but the machine upstairs suddenly went nuts and now I can’t leave this bunker without frying alive.

The one time I did poke my head up I saw Highwaymen all over the place. Makes me worried sick for my pal up top, but hell if I’m letting those murderers know I’m stuck here.

Fuck my life. Fuck my whole life. I never shoulda trusted Parker’s stuff.

That’s a bummer for that guy, but his loss is your gain. There’s a ton of crafting material here. The highlights, though, are 45 Far Cry Credits and a safe with 20 Titanium. Cha-ching!
