Now that Apex Legends is the hottest online game around, we can expect the newest battle royale on the scene to receive a constant stream of patches, tweaks, and updates. The latest patch brings the game up to version 1.03 on all platforms, so it’s available right now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and it’s dubbed the Preseason Patch. We’ve got all the Apex Legends Preseason patch notes you need below, including details on the Valentines Days event.
Apex Legends Preseason Patch Notes | Valentines Days
The first proper event for Apex Legends is themed around Valentine’s Day, and is simply dubbed “Valentines Days.” The preseason patch adds this event, which brings with it a new banner badge, a Longbow Epic DMR skin, and a new banner frame for Pathfinder. The “Live Die Live” banner badge can be earned by anyone between February 13 and 19, and all you have to do is revive a teammate. The cosmetic items “Through the Heart” Longbow Epic DMR skin and Pathfinder’s new “Love of the Game” banner frame can only be bought in the store before February 19, and then they’re gone.
Apex Legends Preseason Patch Notes | PlayStation Plus Play Pack
The PlayStation Plus Play Pack has been updated, in particular the art for the special pack has been changed to the Flatline skin and banner card, and the names have been changed to Deep Blue. This will also affect anyone who’s already received the skins.
Apex Legends Preseason Patch Notes | Bugs and Fixes
Apart from these, this is a small preseason patch before the first proper season of Apex Legends kicks off, so it’s mainly about bug fixing. A bunch of locations where you could fall through or get stuck in the map have been addressed, the Arc Star throwable item now gets a grenade warning indicator, and Bloodhound’s Eye of the Allfather clones have now had their duration shortened by one second. You can check out all the miscellaneous bug fixes on the official EA forums. Expect a bigger update to drop alongside season one when that begins.
