What is the destroy Fortnite X-4 Stormwings challenge?
As we mentioned, one of the challenges requires you to blow up an X-4 Stormwing. This would normally be a breeze if you had to destroy one on the ground. However, you’ll need to take one out whilst it’s being flown in the sky, firing at other players, and generally being a nuisance.
Epic did nerf the X-4 Stormwing plane recently after player feedback about them being overpowered, but they’re still a nightmare to take on. Each one boasts 800 hit points (HP), and has twin-mounted guns on its front. There must be a way to take one down and complete this tough weekly challenge though, right?
What is the easy way to destroy Fortnite X-4 Stormwings?
There is a way to destroy Fortnite X-4 Stormwings, but it’ll require a bit of teamwork to do. You won’t stand much of a chance beating one on your own, so you’ll have to squad up. Whether it’s with friends you play with regularly or strangers, your best bet is to stick together and fire at the plane together.
Dealing with bullets from multiple guns will whittle down the plane’s HP more quickly than if one person is shooting it. Having more than one of you shoot the plane too means that the pilot can only fire at a couple of players at any one time. Try and use a bit of strategy, with one or two players acting as bait while the rest of you fire at the plane.
We’re not sure yet if you’ll all complete the challenge for taking it down or if the challenge will only be given to the player who deals the final blow. Here’s hoping it’s the former though as it’ll be annoying to have to do this many times in order to get the challenge yourself.
