Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Mercenary S1 and S2 tiers not working fix

As part of changes made to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. two new Mercenary tiers are available to unlock right now. The issue is, the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Mercenary S1 and S2 tiers are not working as they should for everyone. Read on to discover an Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Mercenary S1 and S2 fix.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Mercenary S1 and S2 – What’s the issue?

Part of the latest Assassin’s Creed Odyssey update introduced new Mercenary tiers to fight and unlock. These are S1 and S2. In theory, you should be able to unlock both tiers S1 and S2 at level 70 after killing a large number of tier 1 Mercenaries. Unlocking the S1 tier will reward you with a 35 percent increase in War Contracts and Bounties rewards. The S2 unlock, Hephaistos will reduce his teaching costs by 20 percent.

The trouble is, they aren’t unlocking for various people according to this official support forum thread. Read on to discover a fix for the bug.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Mercenary S1 and S2 tiers not working fix

Unfortunately, the issue appears to be random. According to the forum thread linked above, what’s working for some isn’t working for others. The S1 and S2 tiers should unlock once you are level 70 and have killed a good number of tier one Mercenaries. It hasn’t happened for some at all, no matter how many they say they have killed.

A possible fix for the issue would be to keep on killing tier one Mercenaries. We’ve heard of people unlocking S1 from killing ten, for example. Unfortunately, players who have killed as many as 15 state it isn’t working for them. You should unlock S1 after killing ten tier one Mercenaries. It isn’t working as it should, but Ubisoft is looking into the problem.

Another thing you could try would be to increase your bounty. This should make S1 and S2 tier Mercenaries spawn. Just keep killing.

If you keep killing Mercenaries and tier S1 or S2 doesn’t unlock, we’d recommend sounding off on the official Ubisoft Community Support forums. Hopefully, Ubisoft can fix the issue for everyone before long.
