Red Dead Redemption 2 Ammo Bug Fix

It appears that Rockstar Games fix one problem in Red Dead Redemption 2 and, unbeknownst to them, another pops up. A Red Dead Redemption 2 ammo bug has been affecting some players in the game’s single player mode. Is there a RDR2 ammo bug fix to solve this?

What is the Red Dead Redemption 2 Ammo Bug?

The Red Dead Redemption 2 ammo bug is a glitch that sees players lose all of their ammo, for certain guns and weapons, whilst they play through the story. The biggest culprits for this error are the varmint rifle and the improved arrows for your bow, according to this Reddit thread on the Red Dead Redemption Reddit page.

Players have complained that, despite having full stacks for both weapons, they lose every piece of ammo when they either load the game back up, or after certain missions have occurred. There has to be a way to stop this from happening, and having to use your money and resources on new bullets and arrows, right?

Is There a Red Dead Redemption 2 Ammo Bug Fix?

Unfortunately there isn’t one at the moment. Rockstar Games have apparently been made aware of the glitch, judging by other threads such as this one and this one on the game’s Reddit page. There hasn’t been any word of a patch being brought out to resolve the problem though.

If you’re still finding that your ammo is disappearing for some unknown reason, you’ll have to get in touch with Rockstar via this feedback form. Sure, it should mainly be used for Red Dead Online bugs, but what’s the harm in telling them about this single player problem too?

There will be new players who get the game over Christmas who will be left frustrated by this bug, or those who may not have had the chance to play it much yet. Here’s hoping that they get around to sorting it out soon.
