The Fortnite 7.00 update patch notes (Fortnite 1.94 update patch notes PS4) have been revealed by Epic Games. The teases were building up to something huge, so it’s great to finally have everything unveiled! These new Fortnite update patch notes detail the new changes coming to the game during Season 7. As you might expect, there is a significant amount of content included with the Season 7 update, including the X-4 Stormwing fighter jet, weapon and vehicle skins, a new snow biome, and more! Unfortunately, the new Fortnite patch does require downtime, which is scheduled to start at 4 AM ET (9 AM UTC). This should last 1-2 hours.
Fortnite 7.00 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.94 PS4) – Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass
The Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass will be the main thing keeping players playing Fortnite. With the Fortnite 7.00 update (Fortnite 1.94 PS4), players will be able to purchase the new Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks, or stick to the free pass. The former boasts more rewards and challenges to complete, while the latter costs absolutely nothing. The Season 7 Battle Pass features over 100 unique items to earn as you level up. Upon first unlocking the Battle Pass, players will immediately earn brand new progressive outfits which change over time. For Season 7, these progressive skins are Zenith and Lynx. The Season 7 Battle Pass also grants 50 percent bonus match XP and 10 percent bonus friend match XP for the entire duration of Season 7.
A Fortnite Season 7 Battle Bundle is also available. At 2,800 V-Bucks, it’s an expensive purchase, but contains items valued at over 10,000 V-Bucks. Sgt. Winter comes as an immediate Battle Bundle progressive skin unlock. The Battle Bundle also includes the Hamirez pet, Tactical Sleigh glider, Arctic Camo wrap, Perfect Present back bling, String Lights contrail, and more.
Fortnite 7.00 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.94 PS4) – Weapon and Vehicle Wraps (Skins/Camos)
Fortnite weapon and vehicle wraps have also been added to the game with the Fortnite 7.00 update (Fortnite 1.94 PS4). These are skins and camos that allow players to customize the appearance of weapons and vehicles. This results in more options to mix and match skins for both the character and the tools they use, as well as being another item that can be added to the Fortnite Item Store! (Expect to see more there soon!) Fortnite wraps don’t provide any gameplay advantages, so no damage buffs or anything like that.
Fortnite 7.00 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.94 PS4) – X-4 Stormwing Fighter Jet
Take to the skies with the new Fortnite X-4 Stormwing fighter jet, which is freshly added with the Fortnite 7.00 update (Fortnite 1.94 PS4). The X-4 Stormwing Plane features five seats in total, with one pilot and four passengers. It has a mounted machine gun which can overheat. (Players will want to shoot in short bursts to maintain a cool temperature.) The roll buttons can be used for sharp turns, which pressing both buttons simultaneously will cause the plane to fly upside down. Double tapping the roll buttons will do a barrel roll. Both boost and airbreak can be used for some extra mobility. Players who exit the X-4 plane will go into a skydiving state.
Fortnite 7.00 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.94 PS4) – Fortnite Snow Map
Those who have been caught up in the snow map hype will be happy to hear that three new snowy locations have been added to the game: Happy Hamlet, Polar Peak, and Frosty Flights. These can now be explored by players, with the snow providing a new challenge in terms of cover and visibility! What’s more, players will come across “icy surfaces” in these new locations, which will make them slip and slide about the place. This could be a terrible trap to fall into, as you’ll find controlling your character a lot more difficult. However, it could also make for some fun skating moments!
Ziplines can also now be found around the Iceberg and other outposts. Players can latch on and zip from one end to the other. And yes, it is possible to aim, fire, or use items while traveling on the ziplines, so you won’t be a sitting (ziplining?) duck!
Fortnite 7.00 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.94 PS4) – Creative Mode
Ever since the Fortnite Creative Mode was leaked by a prominent YouTuber, fans have been clamoring for more information about the new game type. Well, Epic Games went ahead and provided a quick reveal before the Fortnite 7.00 update (Fortnite 1.94 PS4) went live.
The Fortnite Creative Mode should soon be available for players to explore, with Battle Pass owners getting access first. The Creative Mode allows players to design their own games, race in the various vehicles, and fight friends to determine who has the greatest set of Fortnite skills.
Select “Creative Hub” to access your own private island or the islands of other friends on the server. You can also explore Featured Islands from the community, which should lead to all sorts of cool creations where players can race and do battle! Player Islands are your own creative space that automatically saves. Servers can be active for four hours at a time, making for some creative marathons! If you own the Battle Pass, you’ll start with four islands. Those without a Battle Pass will have to wait for the December 13 release date.
The in-game Phone can be used to edit, copy, and manipulate props within the game world. Fly mode allows players to rapidly travel about the map and create in mid-air. Simply double jump to fly!
Creative Mode “Game Settings” let players set health, fall damage, spawn location, and more, which can all be changed at any time. The “Island Tools” gives players control over resetting the island back to the original state, and also permissions for who is able to build on the island. Spawn prefabs (pre-made structures), devices, weapons, and consumables using the Inventory. The prefabs include eight obstacle courses, 25 buildings from Battle Royale, and 34 galleries of building titles and props.
Devices exclusive to the Creative Mode include: Ice Block, Damage Rails, Speed Boost, Timer, Scoreboard, and Player Spawn. The devices from Battle Royale are: Spikes, Chiller, Bouncer, Launch Pad, Mounted Turret, and Cozy Campfire.
For the remaining Fortnite 7.00 update patch notes (Fortnite 1.94 PS4), which comprise mostly of bug fixes and other smaller (yet still very much appreciated!) fixes, you can head on over to the Epic Games page.
