If you’ve played the original Gen 1 Pokemon games, you might know how to get the Pokemon Let’s Go Lapras. If you’re new to Pokemon or you’ve just forgotten the steps then this guide is here to help you. Where to find Lapras is pretty easy to miss in a general playthrough, especially if you’re not talking to everyone you meet. It also occurs during a fairly busy part of the game so there’s every chance you skipped over this fine detail for catching Lapras in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.
Pokemon Let’s Go Lapras – How to Get It
You won’t be able to get Lapras until you’ve made it to Saffron city and there are a few steps involved in doing so. First, you’ll need to get the tea to appease the guards. You’ll also need to have met with Team Rocket at the game center in Celedon City before gaining access to the Silph building in Saffron City.
Silph in Saffron City is a maze of teleporting puzzles. You’ll need the Silph Co. Card Key to get around and it’s generally a bit difficult to navigate. You can find out all about that in our complete guide for the area. If you’re returning to the Silph building just to pick up a Lapras then simply read on.
You want to head to the 7th floor in the Silph building. Head to the left and use your key card on this door. Talk to the man sitting on the red couches and he’ll thank you for trying to save them from Team Rocket and give you your very own Lapras.
Lapras is a pretty strong and rare Pokemon, so that’s a pretty good reason to get one. Another reason is Lapras is one of the few Pokemon you can use to ride on water. You’ll still need to get the secret technique to do so but it’s a really nice aesthetic touch.
