Fortnite 1.93 Update Patch Notes

Fortnite 6.31 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.93 Patch Notes PS4)

The Fortnite 6.31 update patch notes (Fortnite 1.93 update patch notes PS4) have now been shared by developer Epic Games. The new Fortnite update patch notes provide a deeper look into the latest changes and improvements made to the game, and are often a weekly highlight for passionate players. Shotguns are the main focus this time around, with both Epic and Legendary variants of the Pump Shotgun being introduced. This is definitely going to shake up the meta, as high-damage close-range weapons often cause frustration for those on the receiving end. The new Fortnite patch does unfortunately require downtime, which is scheduled to start at 5 AM ET (10 AM UTC). This should last 1-2 hours.

Fortnite 6.31 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.93 PS4) – New Pump Action Shotguns

Fortnite 1.93 Update Patch Notes

The biggest change implemented by the Fortnite 6.31 update (1.93 on PS4) is the new shotgun types. Both Epic and Legendary Pump Action Shotguns have now been added to their game, with each variant offering its own set of stats.

In terms of maximum damage, the Epic variant can dish out 105, while the Legendary can deal 110. You’ll be able to find these powerful tools of destruction from floor loot, chests, Supply Drops, and Vending Machines.

In a significant change that should stop shotgun users getting frustrated at low damage output, shotguns will now always apply at least three pellets worth of damage, even if only one or two hit the target. (These “bonus pellets” will never be counted as critical hits, however!) What’s more, the existing Pump Shotguns’ maximum damage has been bumped up from 80/85 to 95/100. However, while the Pump Shotgun will do higher damage in shorter range engagements, the damage falls off quicker. Epic Games wants this to be a dependable close-range gun, that quickly becomes useless at range.

Fortnite 6.31 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.93 PS4) – Team Rumble Limited Time Mode

Fortnite 1.93 Update Patch Notes

The Fortnite 6.31 update (1.93 on PS4) also adds the Team Rumble limited time mode, offering players a unique variation to the usual Battle Royale gameplay. Team Rumble has two teams of 20 racing to be the first to 100 kills. This does indeed mean that respawning has been enabled for this mode, with players respawning after five seconds with their inventory still intact. (This means that if you find a great weapon, you’ll be able to keep that gun for the entire round!)

Since players don’t drop their own weapons when killed, they will instead drop a random type of ammo, as well as a random stack of either 120 Wood, 90 Stone, or 60 Metal.

Only Uncommon weapons and above are available, meaning players should be able to find some endgame loot relatively quickly.

Fortnite 6.31 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.93 PS4) – Stink Bomb, Dynamite, and Mounted Turret Changes

Fortnite 1.93 Update Patch Notes

Stink Bomb, Dynamite, and Mounted Turret fans should pay close attention to the Fortnite 6.31 update (1.93 on PS4) patch notes. Players will now be able to find the Stink Bomb in Supply Drops, so get hunting. It’s also now possible to throw back Dynamite! If you spot a bomb with a lit fuse, simply interact with it and you’ll be able to throw it back at the enemy. Dynamite has also had its explosion height against players increased from 192 to 300 units, which should help stop players from being able to jump over the explosion.

As for the Mounted Turret, well it has seen a huge number of changes to help keep it balanced. You can read them just below.

  • Adjusted Mounted Turret collision to make it easier to land shots against anyone occupying it.
  • Removed the ability to repair the Mounted Turret
  • Fixed players being able to clip into turret barrels and get stuck.
  • Supply drops will automatically open if landing on a Mounted Turret
  • Drop rate reduced from 1.719% to 0.915%

Fortnite 6.31 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.93 PS4) – Map Marker Placement

Fortnite 1.93 Update Patch Notes

To make it easier for players to quickly mark areas of the island without having to bring up the map, the Fortnite 6.31 update (1.93 on PS4) has added a “Place Marker” function. Players simply need to aim at the place they want to mark for their teammates to see, then hit the “Place Marker” keybind on PC, or the left D-pad button on consoles. Android and iPhone players can find this function inside the HUD Layout Tool, where you can assign the optional button.

Fortnite 6.31 Update Patch Notes (Fortnite 1.93 PS4) – Save the World Patch Notes

Fortnite 1.93 Update Patch Notes

If you’re big into Save the World, and have been looking forward to the next act of Canny Valley, you’ll be very happy to hear that it is has now launched. Canny Valley Act 2 features new quests, a new Ghost Town sub-biome, and new story characters. There are a total of 21 new quests to complete, as well as a new landmark mission. The Ghost Town sub-biome features Wild West towns that have turned into ghost versions, converted into amusement parks or movie sets. The new story characters include the Global Storming Denier, Dr. Vinderman’s assistants, and the Steel Wool bass guitarist.

Save the World balance changes implemented with the Fortnite 6.31 patch include:

  • Tweaked the overall chance of Schematic/Survivor/Hero XP vs Crafting Ingredients vs Evolution Materials vs Perk Materials appearing as a mission reward, to better match what players need at different points in the progression.
  • Significantly reduced the chance for Crafting Materials to appear as a mission reward, especially at higher difficulties.
  • Made Epic and Legendary Perk-UP much more likely to appear at the top end of Twine Peaks by removing the chance of Uncommon and Rare Perk-UP.

Those hunting for new Fortnite Save the World Heroes will want to keep an eye out for the Legendary Constructor, which will become available on November 28 at 7 PM ET, up until the release of the new Fortnite 7.00 update. The new Legendary Soldier Steel Wool Carlos has also been added to the Canny Valley Act 2 questline.

As for new Save the World weapons, the Six Feet Under Shovel has been added to the Weekly Store. Make sure you pick this up before it disappears on December 5 at 7 PM ET.
