Pokemon Let’s Go Follower – How to Change Which Pokemon Follows You

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee is finally in the hands of nostalgic, older fans and newcomers to the franchise. One big decision you’ll have to make early on is deciding which Pokemon Let’s Go follower you want to have, well, follow you around Kanto. This is in addition to either Pikachu or Eevee, so how do you change which Pokemon follows you in Pokemon Let’s Go?

Pokemon Let’s Go Follower – What is the Pokemon Follower Feature?

In Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, players have the opportunity to have an extra Pokemon follow them around the map outside of their Pokeball. With so many Pokemon available in the game, everyone is free to select their favorite to follow behind them as they look to fill their Pokedex and beat the Elite Four.

Pokemon Let’s Go Follower – How to Change Which Pokemon Follows You

Some players have been unable to work out how to make this change, so what do you need to do to ensure your favorite Pokemon is out and about with you?

The first thing you’ll need to do is open up the in-game menu, and head to the “Party” tab that contains the six Pokemon you have on you. Open this sub-menu up, and then click on “Select Pokemon” for the critter you want to follow you around. This will give you the option to “Take out of Pokeball.” Click on this, and the Pokemon you’ve picked will now be a sprite following you around Kanto.

You should obviously have your favorite Pokemon in your six critter party already. If you don’t – once you’ve caught it at least – then it’ll be safely held at your Pokebank on any PC in the Kanto region. Simply head to your nearest one at a Pokemon Center and add them to your party at another Pokemon’s expense.
