Red Dead Redemption 2 Easy Map Access – How to Perform

Did you know that there’s a Red Dead Redemption 2 easy map access function? Considering that it can be a pain to load your map via the in-game menu every time, it’s a feature that would certainly go down well. Thankfully, one does exist in Rockstar’s latest gaming hit. So, how do you access it without using the menu?

Red Dead Redemption 2 Easy Map Access – How to Perform

It’s extremely simple to access Red Dead Redemption 2‘s massive map. For those who aren’t in the know – and there still are people judging by this Reddit thread – you can bring it up quickly using this method.

To access your map quickly, simply press and hold down the “Menu” button on your Xbox One controller, or the “Options” button on your PS4 controller. This automatically brings the world map up for you to view. It saves a precious few seconds considering that the alternative is to press those buttons to access the in-game menu, and then tap the “A” or “X” button on your gamepad to bring the map up.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Easy Map Access – Why is This Helpful?

As we said, it’s a lot easier than having to pause the game to see where you need to go on the map. Sure, it may seem like it isn’t a big deal for some, but a few players still don’t know that you can access the map this way.

It provides a quicker way for you to set a waypoint if you’re heading in a chosen direction, find out where the next main and side missions are for you to complete, how to work your way back to camp, and more. It’s a handy feature to have, and one that many may have moaned at Rockstar for not including if they’d not added it in.
