Red Dead Redemption 2 Taming Elite Horses – Tame the White Arabian

In Red Dead Redemption 2 taming horses isn’t always as easy as it seems. In fact, it’s quite different from the way in which John Marston tamed horses in the original Red Dead Redemption. It’s no surprise, then, that taming horses in Red Dead Redemption 2 is especially difficult when said horses are elite horses. One of these elite horses is the White Arabian, located in the northern part of the map near Lake Isabella. Here’s your guide on how to tame Red Dead Redemption 2 elite horses.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Elite Horses – Tame the White Arabian

Although it may seem difficult to tame such a beautiful and powerful horse at first, taming the White Arabian is actually pretty easy. All you need to recognize is that taming horses in this game is slightly different from the first one.

In order to tame a horse, you’ll need to use the analog sticks to put a stop to the horse’s erratic movements. In Red Dead Redemption, this was achieved by moving the analog stick left and right. In Red Dead Redemption 2, you need to move the analog stick backward, too. This is because you need to bring the horse under control when it bucks. If it bucks too many times, the taming will prove unsuccessful.

Elite horses will buck much more aggressively than the ordinary horses in the game. They’re more difficult to tame if you aren’t sure what to do, but it’s all pretty easy once you get it down—literally, get it down. If you remember to move the analog down as well as left and right, you’ll have no problems.

If you follow that one instruction, you’ll have no issues with taming any of the game’s elite horses. In Red Dead Redemption 2, your horse is as vital as your weapons, so getting a good one early on is pretty important. Best of luck taming the White Arabian!
